-2- A stronger low pressure relief valve spring is required to raise the pressure from 5 lbs. to 10 lbs. in accordance with Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}'s 10,000 Miles Report. It is proposed to instruct BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} accordingly. Stronger plunger springs E.86880, 5¼ lbs load, are required with the 8 : 1 ratio eccentrics. It is proposed to advise BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} accordingly. A modification is required in connection with the failure of the retaining circlip on the tappet valve in the plunger. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} has a proposed scheme on test and will let the Design have particulars of it. Valves & Camshafts. Design are informed that stronger valve springs are required to suit the large diameter exhaust valve stems (.375"). In view of the 10,000 miles test, should KESS exhaust valves be instructed instead of KE 965 ? What is the latest position re wear of cams and tappets ? Design instructions LeC 4675 and LeC 4673 have been issued in which tappets were kept clear of the cam base circle. What is the results of tests on this ? Sparking Plug Terminals. Discuss type to be instructed in view of the 10,000 miles test report, Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.5/MA.5.12.35. Ignition Distributor and Governor. What is the position of the tests asked for in E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner}1/HP. 12.11.35 ? Discuss lubrication of contact breaker cam (Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.1/MA. 7.12.35) Fan. Design Dept. are still without information with regard to Cadillac type of fan. Should we proceed with this in view of the fact that Cadillacs have abandoned the V.P. fan and are now experiment-ing with variable speed fans.
