X.802 Extract from EH1/LG10.1.19 X.4473 RE BATTERIES X.1864. X.3619 X.802. Since we were with Mr. Royce we have been looking over the chassis, we think that if we are to carry out any sort of wiring scheme the battery must be fixed to the chassis and not bolted in any position on the running board which the Coach Builder might choose. There is a nice room for the battery between the torque tube and the frame on the driver's side. There is no reason why we could not fit up a really nice box to carry the battery in that position. It would also have the advantage that it would be close by the main switch so that our wires would be shortened by that amount. Unless we have the battery fixed to the chassis, I do not see how we can start on any respectable wiring scheme. Will you please let us know what you think about this, because we are getting well on with the model chassis. EH. | ||
