Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 19th. inst. regarding your offer to reduce the mould cost for the coupling (ECD.914) from £30 to £4.10s.0d. by virtue of you having a spare mould.

Since that time, however, we have found certain defects, not with your coupling, but the way we have adapted it for our purpose.

We are therefore looking into the possibilities of a modified design and will let you know should we decide to proceed with anything further.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
