SS.{S. Smith} CONTROLS ON TOP OF X740 (handwritten, struck through) X7430 (handwritten) STEERING WHEEL.

We send herewith N. scheme 2809. shewing the proposed arrangement for reducing the height of the controls above the wheel.

It will be seen that we have followed the general principles of the existing scheme, but have shut them up as closely as possible.

The only alteration to the steering wheel itself is the removal of the upward projection of the centre boss.

The alterations to the klaxon switch are a slight alteration to the outer bakelite cover, a reduction in thickness of the centre terminal nut, and the button itself.

We are sending this to R.{Sir Henry Royce}, and as he has not given us any indication of how he wished the job done we cannot guarantee that it will go through without alteration, but we think it should be proceeded with in view of the urgency for the 10,000 mile car.

Will you kindly send us an extra print for R.{Sir Henry Royce}, as soon as possible.
