SCUTTLE VENTILATION EAC.14. 776

During the recent snap of cold weather, we found that the only method of keeping reasonably warm in the driving seats of 10-EX was to use the plain bonnet. With the louvered bonnet the front seats were cold but not impossibly so.

In the the hottest weather that we had last year, the front seats were just bearable with the louvered bonnet.

It appears to us, therefore, that we cannot hope to cater for variations in climatic conditions to the extent of 30°C by ventilation unless at least a portion of this ventilation is under the control of the driver.

We are endeavouring to get our test of scuttle louvres through, but feel that some design for enabling these louvres to be closed is very desirable.
