Query regarding a report of a sticking No. 9 valve on a Goshawk-11 engine.

In Waldrons report of the 10th.inst. he states that they were stopped on the road owing to No.9 valve sticking up. We should like to know more particulars of the cause of the valve sticking. Did it appear seized, or did they have to ease out a guide. From our reckoning, No.9 appears to be an inlet. We should be very please to have some definite information about this, because the valves on 5-Goshawk-11 appear to be in excellent condition, very little wear and well lubricated.
