Re-organisation of correspondence routing within the Aero Division.

1204 Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Sft{Mr Swift}6/BH.10.3.39. Certain re-organisation has been found necessary in the Aero Division, and we shall be glad if you will note the following and arrange accordingly:- (1) Correspondence relating to Derby Works Management hitherto addressed to Sft.{Mr Swift} should now be addressed to TB. (2) Correspondence relating to Derby Works Management, but hitherto handled by the various Works Depts. should be addressed to TB/Mr.X. etc. using the abbreviation of the official concerned. (3) Correspondence for Sub-contract Dept. should be addressed to Sft{Mr Swift}/CH. (4) Correspondence relating to Crewe should be addressed Sft{Mr Swift}/SF. (5) There is no need to send copies of routine correspondence relating to works management to Sft.{Mr Swift} unless it is considered of sufficient importance for Sft.{Mr Swift} to be made aware of the position. (6) All correspondence relating to delivery programmes of new Engines both original programmes and alterations etc. should be addressed direct to Sft.{Mr Swift} (7) Correspondence involving any of the Aero Depts. other than Derby works, i.e. Crewe, Sub-contractors, etc. should be addressed to Sft.{Mr Swift} (8) Correspondence relating to Spares should be addressed to TB/Wkn. and Repairs TB/AFW. Copies need not be sent to Sft.{Mr Swift} unless it is considered of sufficient importance to be brought to his notice. (9) D/BP. and D/L. please note that all tenders for new Engines, etc. must be sent to Sft.{Mr Swift} for noting before issuing instructions. (10) Will G/WAB. please note that the weekly return showing the value of Spares delivered should still be addressed to Sft.{Mr Swift} | ||
