Phantom III Carburetter.

Removal of Screw Driver Slots in the Set Screws of the Float Chamber Lids.

We send you herewith LeC.5358 showing the removal of the screw driver slots in the six set screws on the float chamber lid{A. J. Lidsey} of the above carburetter.

The object of this modification is to ensure that these set screws are properly tightened with a box spanner, as trouble has been experienced on one car with the float chamber lid{A. J. Lidsey} leaking petrol into the 'V' and causing a fire.

We should be pleased if you would arrange for this modification to be introduced on to production as soon as possible.

The screw driver slots should be retained in the two larger bolts which make the joint between the air horn and the carburetter body.
