85230. Ey. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. RRC. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}8/AD6.10.31. EXHAUST VALVE TROUBLE - 25 HP. Further to our conversation on the telephone, we consider that it would be advisable to run exhaust valves to Lec. 2935 on the next 25 HP. 10,000 mile test, the dimensions being altered to suit the 25 HP. At the same time we agree that it would be of considerable interest to run half the exhaust valves with phosphor bronze inserts and half directly in the head to ascertain the respective merits of the two test materials.
