Letter to Rudge-Whitworth Ltd. regarding the balancing of front wheels and the arrangement of security bolts.

is rendered heaviest by the above arrangement of security bolts. It appears to us that this construction renders your wheel more inaccurate from the point of view of balance than would be the case if the tyre valve were arranged as nearly diametrically opposite to the two security bolts which are close together as possible.

It occurs to us that you probably have some reason for this apparently faulty disposition of the tyre valve in relation to the security bolts, and we should esteem it a favour if you would write to us and give us your views on the matter.

This question is of some importance to us, as we find it quite necessary to balance our front wheels in order to render the steering of our cars efficient and comfortable.
