I am attaching herewith copy of E4/G5919. in which Mr. Royce raises the question of - (1) The material of the brushes and considers that one with less copper would be more suitable. (2) The design of the brush holder. The latter point is simply a question for Mr.Day. to deal with. In regard to the former I consider all that should be done for the moment is, that we should instruct the O.O. to obtain a supply of brushes, say four dozen, in a mixture agreed to between yourself and Mr. Clarke, the mixture containing less copper, but I consider that the Experimental Department should determine that this material is better before we should change the material on the Part Line.
