W/N - Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}/WT15/MW4.2.36. E.60582aTie Rods Etc. We note that during the last few weeks you have returned several E.60582a Tie Rods and we have also supplied you with 50 or 60 complete sets during the last two or three months. We think that this matter should be taken up with the Design Department, but before doing so we would like your views as to why it is necessary for these to be changed. We are returning a set you sent us off GYH-37 as the pins and brushes show practically no wear, and we should like to know if fitting the new parts overcame the trouble experienced. We have has very few of this type of engine to deal with at W. but so far we have experienced no trouble what-ever with wear at this particular point. Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}/WT.
