The new Accelerator (for which I have a very suitable name) Can be applied to your existing Cars, & can of course be built into all your new ones.

In appearance from the driving seat it is identical with the present form of foot plate & skew construction, & retains the same method of Acceleration, yet, instantaneous with the will of the driver, he (or she) can now entirely, & absolutely rest the foot on the Accelerator itself for any distance required & at any point of depression, but still controlling the speed for any emergency
