Gentlemen, Your letter of June 5th addressed to Mr. V.W. Kliesrath, has been referred to the writer for a reply. Enclosed is print EX-1258 showing typical thermostatic heat control. We have not made these at our plant but are informed that the material in the shaft and bushings is of Enduro 'A' metal or stainless cold #81-14% chromium steel purchased from the Rustless Iron Corporation, 731 Fisher Bldg., Detroit, Mich. Another Company manufacturing this arrangement specifies the steel in the shaft with Enduro or stainless steel bushings. The valve can be common steel. In response to your second paragraph, the experimental carburetter referred to was carved from solid bakelite.
