1033 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/TAS.{T. Allan Swinden}1/SW. February 6th, 1941. The Zenith Carburetter Co., Ltd., Honeypot Lane, Stanmore, Middlesex. For the attention of C.H.Fisher,Esq. Dear Sirs, Herewith a picture showing the choke spindle with the required leger. It will be noted that the spindle used in this drawing is the standard AAV.25 spindle modified to suit. Assuming that you will start with an AAV.1 lid{A. J. Lidsey}, we are not concerned with the way in which the spindle is modified, so long as it meets the lever requirements. Would it, on the 36 mm. units, be possible for you to fit a plate lever (as on DC.42) on the throttle spindle to operate in the same way as the lever shown in the drawing. This, I think, would be preferable, as it is a more rigid job than the type shown using a biting-in bolt. You need not worry about the hardened steel ball end which is a standard R.R. part. Yours faithfully, T.A. Swinden. | ||
