To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to CJ. BJ. +457 R3/M29.11.24. BALLOON TYRES. X.4565 X.457 On the 20 HP. balloon tyres have, I think, been a decided improvement, and though I have had this car very many times considerably over 60 m.p.h. I have not noticed any tendency for steering wobbles at any speeds. I have heard from Mr. Minchin, of Peto & Radford, that the Bentley had high speed wobbles with big tyres. I have also heard that our 40/50 had steering wobbles with big tyres. I do not know any reason why steering wobbles should occur with big tyres. Do they, and why? R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
