X.3398b Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}6/NJ.19.11.23. 19th Novem.1923. Peto & Radford, 50, Grosvenor Gardens, London, S.W.1. Dear Sirs, Battery for 40/50 H.P. Chassis. We understand that in consequence of the objection which Coachbuilders have to the use of an exposed container and their insistence on employing a battery box to contain and screen the battery, you have agreed to re-arrange the cells of your battery and supply them in a wood container with handles, in a unit of the same dimensions as the other make of battery we employ in this chassis, and that your symbol for the new battery is TBD9. According to our records, you have completed our order No.14949 of 16.1.23 and have not yet commenced to deliver batteries against our order No.19782 of 18.6.23. We assume that you will not ask us to accept delivery of any further batteries of the old type and that all the batteries which you deliver against our order No.19782 will be of TBD9 type. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
