x 3" 7 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Bwg.{J. C. Bowring}10/KW. 29th January, 1934. Messrs. Donald Sessions & Co. Ltd., 906, Harrow Road, Willesden, LONDON. N.W.10. For the attention of Mr. Donald Sessions. Dear Sirs, Re. 20/25 HP. Jacks. We have received one set of Jacks, for which we thank you. However, we think there is some mistake because they in no way agree with our specifications. It would appear that these Jacks are of the same type which Mr. Lidsey turned down some while ago. The points in question are :- (1) We specified a square thread on the Jack Shaft, whereas these have the old Buttress. (2) The sheet metal cover is not of the same gauge as the original Mark II. We call for 19 gauge. Also the lip is not like the original. (3) The lid{A. J. Lidsey} closing members are not lipped so as to form a water seal when in the closed position. (4) The shaft extension tubes are not so clean in finish with regard to the rivetting. We are returning these Jacks to-day. Will you kindly look into the matter and let us have a set as soon as possible to our Specification HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid.{A. J. Lidsey}6/KT. of the 5.12.33. | ||
