1020 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}15/JH. 30th. November, 1939. Vandervell Products Ltd., Western Avenue, Park Royal, LONDON.W.3. Dear Sirs, With reference to your letter ref. JHT/LT. dated 23rd. November. Referring to your drawing L.118 this is a layout for using your main bearings in our B.50 engine, including thrust washers to suit. In the second paragraph of your letter you refer to these as standard parts, and we therefore assume that in our tests up to date we have been using your standard thrust washers. We are a little baffled therefore to understand why the query is raised re special thrust washers? We shall be glad if you could let us have a little more information on this point. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
