Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X1104 To Wcr. from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re American Car Sales. Copy to C.Ex.E.Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}Ml. I recently saw some statistics which, when you look at them carefully, are rather surprising. They show that in 1934 the wholesale price of 95% of the cars sold in America did not exceed £150. The same applies to 1933; in 1932 the percentage was 89%, in 1931, 85 and in 1930, 83. When we get to the higher priced cars, i.e. over £600, in 1934 and 1935 they formed only .1% of the total sales!
