Hanbury - Head Complaints} J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Young, and we have to inform you that Mr. Young is no longer with us, having left our service just recently, and announcements of this termination have appeared in certain of the technical publications. With regard to cylinder material, we should welcome the opportunity of examining any samples you may care to submit to us, and we should be pleased to extend to you the full results of all research that has been undertaken in our laboratory. With regard to Vacrit liners, we have pleasure in enclosing a list of many firms who are using them, and you will see that amongst these are engine builders who are manufacturing both Diesel and petrol engines. There is, however, some difficulty in establishing accurate data in relation to wear figures, but we can submit for your perusal the many records our customers have given us in relation to liner wear. We have not at the present moment any means of rapidly testing the cylinder material for wear, and in this connection you will well know the difficulties of producing exact operating conditions, and we have compiled almost the whole -Continued- | ||
