Brake Drum Enamel.
--------------------

Complaint contained in memo PN{Mr Northey}3/WT28.5.31.

Further to my memo Sft.{Mr Swift}4/B.1.6.31. you will remember I promised to have some drums treated with an enamel that could be stoved at a higher temperature.

We have fitted two chassis with drums that have been treated with enamel to withstand higher temperatures, and the chassis in question were 6-JS{Mr Johnson's Secretary} and 10-JS{Mr Johnson's Secretary} respectively.

It is now reported that the enamel on these brake drums is a very definite improvement over the standard; they have now passed through their test and there is no sign of the enamel being affected.

Under the circumstances we would like this reporting to PN.{Mr Northey} and also to know whether we have your authority to use this enamel as standard.

Sft.{Mr Swift}
