9th. March 1938.

Dear Sirs,

In reply to your letter of the 4th. inst. we are returning the oil filter as loaned to us for trial tests in January last.

Our tests show that although the filter is fairly efficient in cleaning oil it soon becomes sludged up and ceases flowing.

We have concluded our oil filter tests but if the time arises that we wish to make any further trials we will then communicate with you.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
