With reference to the attached letter from S.B.Smith & Co., 10, Savoy Street, Strand, London W.C.2., dated 25th. July. We should be interested to try a belt of this nature if one could be obtained with links and pitch in accordance with our drawing E.22312. We observe that there appears to be no means of adjustment on the sample links supplied. We should like to know whether the makers could make provision for the removal of 2 or 3 links, if necessary, for purposes of initial adjustment.
