To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner}1/HP.12.11.34. B.W.P. Variable Level Oil Intake. The Wraith oil sump is being designed to take one of the above floating suction pipes and it is hoped that by attaching a rod to the float we can use it also as the oil level indicator. It has occurred to us that we may get a false reading on the level gauge due possibly to the float becoming more immersed when the pipe is sucking. Another query is, since the pipe is generally dealing with the upper layer of oil, is not this oil in a frothy and aerated condition.? Could you please test these two points on the device which you have fitted up. E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} | ||
