RR.238 (100 BKS.)(SHST.29-6-20.) MP 224356 X8793 ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. To E.F.G. 5-10-1926 Order No. WB{Mr Brazier/Mr Bell}107 Customer's No. X8793 Lucas ER6 magneto NO 51 off 12EX This magneto was returned to us as being faulty by CWB after having run 17,856 miles on 12EX. Upon examination we observed the following:- a) Contact breaker The platinum points have worn right down to the steel, otherwise this unit appeared OK. Cam cage rather slack in bearing housing. b) Distributor The distributor track appeared rather rough but exhibited no signs of serious burning at the segments. The H.T. rotor brush was not bedding satisfactorily apparently due to weak spring. Signed: cont'd This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
