BIG END LOADINGS. Herewith Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}376 showing the big end loadings on Ph.III. We give the loadings running light at 4500 r.p.m. It will be noted that both the fork and blade rod bearings have a maximum load of 2400 lbs/sq.in. The max. rubbing velocity on the blade rod bearing is however only about 1/6th. of the velocity on the crank pin. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Smth. [Signature: A.{Mr Adams} Smth] | ||
