(5) Rotherham Lubricators. We believe we can get practically the identical thing here. The ordinary Rotherham oil lubricator is unsatisfactory in any case since the hinged cap gets knocked off. We can probably get one with a better hinge on the cap.

(6) Rolls-Royce trademark plates are on order from D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Auld & CO, who supply name plates to practically every car in the United states. They will be exact duplicates of the R.R. radiator name plates.

As regards the trade-mark and number plate on the dashboard, this will have "R-R of America" instead of "R-R Ltd" and can be obtained locally we believe. The other fuel cock indicator plates, etc. can be secured locally.

(7) Steering wheels. These are on order from Ferman's with promise of early deliveries.

Of the parts on your second list of "possibles":-

[Handwritten, crossed out]: X.3979(1)
(1) Fan belts can be obtained exactly similar to the Whittle.
(2) L.T. wire can be obtained.
(3) Clutch Linings. We have already applied for these direct from the Scandinavian Belting Co. who have an agency in this country.

[Handwritten, crossed out]: X.3960
(4) Brake Linings. We have ORDERED FROM Frood's who promise good deliveries. Nothing here is equal to Frodo we think. The Frood Co. intend to establish a plant in the U.S. which will give us all we require.

[Handwritten, crossed out]: X.3678
(5) Radiators. We intend to make these here. Tubes can be obtained locally in brass.

[Handwritten, crossed out]: X.3403
(6) Ball Bearings. We have promised this order to the Hess-Bright Co. in view of their making most of our thrust bearings.
The Hess-Bright is a high quality bearing similar to the D.W.F. and with cages of the latest design which were found to be satisfactory. The Hess-Bright bearings are standard on practically all the good quality cars here.
