COMPARISONS OF WRAITHS 24.G.VI & 28.G.VI.

24.G.VI.
Wraith Camshaft, low lift rockers .008" inlet and exhaust hot, latest carb. with G.R's mods. to improve idling.
Raised Engine Mounting.
4494 lbs.
Ticknall - 58.7 secs.
Better acceleration after 40 m.p.h. than 28.G.VI.
1/4 mile Donington 76.5 m.p.h.
12 HP more with silencer above 3500
8 " " " at 3000
4 " " " " 2500
0 " " " " 2000
Idling and slow running good.
Tappets audible idling standing beside bonnet.
Valve surge period noticeable if engine run up light about 2000 rpm.
Valve bounce about 4000 rpm.

28.G.VI.
Vauxhall Camshaft.
.006 Inlet .013 exhaust hot.
Low Engine Mounting weighted to 4494 lbs by addition of 100 lbs.
Ticknall 59.3 secs.
Better acceleration up to 40 m.p.h. than 24.G.VI.
1/4 mile Donington 73 m.p.h.
MEP. 3 more at 1000 to 1500.
Idling good, slow running not quite as good as 24.G.VI.
