We have carefully investigated the driving positions on 9.B.5, 7.B.5. and 25.G.Vl.{V. Lewis / Mr Valentine} with Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}, and send herewith a blueprint of F.CD.1153, which shews the dimensions we actually measured in comparison with the designed dimensions. 9.B.5. It will be noticed that the steering wheel on 9.B.5. should be moved 1.000 rearwards, and that the clutch and accelerator pedals should be .750 nearer the dashboard. This will give more leg room and more room between the seat and the rim of the steering wheel. 7.B.5. The steering wheel on this car should be taken .500 more rearwards, and the clutch and accelerator pedal moved .500 and .625 nearer the dashboard to improve the seating accommodation on this car. 25.G.Vl.{V. Lewis / Mr Valentine} The driving position on this car is nearly to design, the accelerator could be moved .875 nearer the dashboard to improve the leg room. The clutch movements should also be reduced similar to how we are doing B.5, in order to reduce pedal travel, and thus get the pedal nearer the floorboards. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
