considered excessive. The two bearings also exhibited no sign of side or end play.

It was found that regular H.T. sparking could be obtained in the fully advanced position at a max speed of 4,500 rpm which is considered very creditable. The low speed sparking was found to be rather bad, the maximum speed in the retard position being 300 rpm, and 160 rpm in advanced position. Apart from the low speed sparking the magneto functioned quite OK.
