21-6-30 40/50 H.P. PHANTOM II CAR 12-XJ (OVERSEAS PROPAGANDA) BODYWORK DEFECTS 1. Front apron rattled before having extra fastenings fitted by driver. 2. The front wing stone guards became loose. Front wing side guards cracked. The loose corners of sides of front wings proved inconvenient and there was not adequate room to easily take a wheel on and off. 3. The front wing lamps proved defective through bad earthing. 4. Scuttle and dash bolts - One broke, and one was lost. 5. The screen was insufficiently supported in the centre and a temporary bracket had to be fitted to help this. 6. Front window metal channels very loose. 7. The single glass screen cracked in two places from where each wiper is fitted. 8. Doors had to be re-hung owing to rattle. 9. Windows rattled and partial remedy made. 10. Bolts in bodywork just above rear-most subframe support brackets project and damaged brake drum covers. 11. The cellulose has stripped off the vertical door edges and other parts. H.O. | ||
