What car ought we to get for a trial run up? E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} says Austro-Daimler, Stutz, and Mercedes. Try whatever we can, but only after trying buy one that appears extra good.

I understand we can buy a Packard straight-8 for about £300 after a few months use.

Stutz has no road clearance.

A Lancia-Lambda was here yesterday: said by Col.Fell to have oily plugs; piston must be done up and fitted with suitable scraper rings if necessary.
