Dear Sir,

I telephoned the Rover Service Department - Mr. Aslin - first thing this morning, to enquire into the possibility of fitting one of the latest DON-FLEX Discs in your car; but as arrangements have already been made to collect it to-morrow - and as a Disc cannot be got through in time to-day - it would seem that the fitting will have to be deferred. I am sorry about this, as we certainly have made a very marked improvement with the modification, discussed yesterday. Mr. Aslin has had one fitted in his own car and confirms that it is perfectly smooth in engagement.

I enclose for your interest a piece of fabric facing taken from a Leyland clutch, returned for re-conditioning after 110,000 miles use in a double decker bus. Frequently we have Discs back for re-conditioning with the fabric worn even thinner; but the cork rivets have still been in good condition and the face of the fabric is just the same, that is, free from scores.
