To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}18/KW.30.7.34.

We had the Engineer from the A.C. Silencer Co. of America here the other day. He examined our exhaust system and told us he thought it was unnecessarily costly and heavy. With his assistance we got out a silencer as shown on No. 1479. The gauges used are all far lighter than our own, but are at present in production on the Buick.

We should be glad if you could make one of these up for us for test purposes. We anticipate that it will weigh less than half of our present arrangement.
