Dear Mr. Stewart,

Replying to your letter of the 15th. inst., we have wired you saying that a mechanic was being sent up to replace the ball bearing on the rear axle pinion.

I am sorry you should have had this trouble but we have to admit that the bearings which we used on the first Bentley cars were liable to produce this fault. We are changing them free of charge on all cars we can get hold of. The new bearings will entirely cure this trouble.

There are one or two other modifications which we are carrying out to all 3½ Litre Bentley cars when it is convenient to the owners. We should recommend that when you return from Scotland you let us have your car for a few days in order to look over it and carry out the necessary modifications.
