With reference to chassis Nos. B.94.KT. B.72.HK.{Col. T. Harker - Sales} B.102.HK.{Col. T. Harker - Sales} The bearing wear of the first one quoted, i.e. Mr. B. Emery's chassis, at 9000 miles, is phenomenal for the mileage. All three certainly demanded regrinding, and in order to avoid in future the continued wear we would suggest fitting, if possible, at the customer's expense, bye-pass oil filters, particulars of which, and for fitting same, we enclose herewith, as per print S.CD.1000, which shows this on a later type chassis. I am at a loss to understand the excessive wear in the crankshaft from B.94.KT. other than from fierce driving on the part of the customer, but even this does not to my mind account for what has occurred, and we would recommend in this customer's case, if he is resident in France, that the addition of an oil filter would relieve the situation.
