K.5021 Type Test. Aug. 7th. 1935

Kestrel V Type Test Engine No. 5021.

Following upon Mr. West's request for the use of new types of sparking plugs for the above type test, after discussion with R.D.E.2b. and E.2 it is agreed that the K.L.G.886B and Lodge A5/B plugs may be used - half set of each in the above test.

As anticipated, it is a fact that D of E have considerable stocks of the V7/B plugs and in the event of either the one or both of the above types being successful on the type test, there is likely to ensue a battle royal as to the purchase and issue of new types of plugs for K.V and VI engines in Service operation.
