X. 3860 - MACONITE HIGH TENSION CABLES.

Confirming our conversation, the prospects of 'Maconite' as a more suitable insulation of our H.T. cables are good, but the cable which we have already handed to you for making up into sets for test is in excess of the dia. required, and we think it would be better to obtain some more which is more nearly in line with our standard cable as regards diameter.

It is arranged that you will let us know what length of cable we should require to cover four sets of experimental cables, two for 40/50 and two for 20 HP. As soon as you can let us know this, we will arrange for this quantity of cable to be experimentally ordered, to the reduced diameter in line with our present standard.
