Dear Robotham,

You may not believe it but it is nevertheless true that there were no gear teeth broken in your gearbox.

Strange to relate, the statement on the invoice was correct. There was a knock in the gearbox, they did not succeed in locating it, they changed some of the gear wheels and it departed.

Sounds rather feeble, because one would have imagined they could see what was causing the knock, but they do not seem to have been able to do so.
