Tank Engine Dynamos. --------------------------------- Major Howard of the Armaments Inspection Department, Woolwich Arsenal, paid a visit to the works yesterday, and during the course of conversation he mentioned to us that during last year's manoeuvres, eight dynamos failed in the course of one night's operations. The failure was apparently due to electrical overheating. We have not previously heard of failures of this sort on the Tank engines and we should be glad if you could let us have any information that is available. We cannot trace any dynamos having been returned to the works with burnt out armatures. E/Ltd. | ||
