442. TO HES. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}6/JH.3.11.38. BENTLEY III FRONT SHOCK DAMPERS. As a lightening scheme for continental B.III, we want to try a pair of aluminium front damper cases on the bump rig. We want to use the existing cast iron pattern. This will mean that the casting will be slightly small. If it is impossible to machine it to drawing then we shall have wasted two castings, but we do not want to start by making a new pattern. When run on the bump rig we want the side valve and other internal parts, complete to L.O.P. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} | ||
