For the attention of Mr.E.G.Clemson.

Dear Sirs,

Referring to your letter of 8th. inst. we regret the confusion which has occurred. The writer has now received the washers in question (to EW.1666) and has inspected same. Unfortunately these washers are thicker than the dimension of .150" given on drawing. We cannot, therefore, get them satisfactorily into the corresponding groove in the filler cap, and are unable to test same.

We would be glad if you could supply us with washers of correct thickness. Further, we have now modified the internal diameter of the washer so that this should be incorporated at the same time.

Attached please find print of revised drawing.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
