Dear Sirs,

With reference to the two silencers suitable for our 20/25 HP. car with which you have supplied us for test purposes.

We should be glad if you would be kind enough to let us know what type of internal construction is employed, and if both silencers are identical in this respect.

We notice that the bands employed for holding the silencer are of such a construction that it is impossible to tighten them up to really grip the silencer. Does this construction have any effect upon their silencing qualities?.

We should also be very grateful for any information you could give us regarding power losses to this type of silencer as compared with the more orthodox type.

Yours faithfully,

For Rolls-Royce Ltd.
