COPY Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 1307 WILMOT-BREEDEN LTD. Eastern Works, Camden Street, BIRMINGHAM, 1. RPT/DMK. Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., DERBY. 12th January, 1940. For the attention of I.A.LESLIE, Esq. Dear Sirs, Further to our acknowledgment of the 9th inst. in connection with your letter of the 8th inst. regarding your proposed new type Steering Wheel to your drawing No. RF.121 and Sketch No. RM.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}601. We have had a preliminary survey of the position and it appears that it will not be readily possible to utilise the present die. It will still be necessary to split the die on the centre line of the spokes at right angles to the axis of the steering wheel, and the section which you have shown is such that it would not draw from the mould. We are preparing drawings indicating our recommendations, which we hope to let you have early next week, together with our further comments. At this stage we must point out to you that the price of Acetate moulding powders has been increased for all grades. Assuring you of our keen interest in your requirements, Yours faithfully, for WILMOT-BREEDEN LTD. (Sgd) R.P.Turner. | ||
