Borg & Beck Clutch SPECIFICATIONS TYPE 11 A1 FOR TRANSMITTING NOT OVER 220 LBS. FT. TORQUE, NORMAL PASSENGER CAR SERVICE 180 LBS. FT. TORQUE, TRUCK OR BUS SERVICE Facing size 11-1/16 x 6-1/8 x 1/8". Total facing area 66.6 sq. in. Twelve springs with 1740 lbs. total plate pressure for maximum capacity. Unit pressure per sq. in. 26.2 lbs. with maximum spring pressure. Mean radius 4.3 in. Clutch release lever ratio 5.5:1. Release bearing travel required to release clutch - 7/16. Wear-in space to be provided in addition to release bearing travel - 9/16. Recommended release pedal ratio 10 or 12:1. Pressure required at release bearing approximately 400 lbs. with maximum springs. Available with following S.A.E. ten spline fittings: 1-1/4 - 1-3/8. Can be installed in No. 4 or larger S.A.E. bell housing. Release bearing - Ball thrust - Not furnished with clutch. Means of adjustment for wear - Pedal only.
