To B.J. from R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to CJ. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} 49430 R5/M1.9.25. STEERING. X. 8430 X. 8940a. Regarding the four items for improving the steering, I fear the idea of sending a car to France with only some of the parts fitted is not a good one, unless we have come to the conclusion that more than 10,000 miles is desirable. In any case I think that the car should be fitted up as we intend, at Derby. It should come to WW. and let me see it on its way to France, and it should be right according to our opinion, before it leaves. This is owing to the difficulty, and extra cost of making the changes in France, and the trouble that may occur before we get the right fittings on. There will be a definite frantic effort to get the parts on if the car cannot leave until corrected, also WW. will see the right parts fitted, and doing what we intended. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
