Re A.Y.GOWAN

With further reference to my memo. C17/C25.4.35 and By/Cgh{W Clough}21/G18.4.35 on the question of the smaller wheels, I told Mr. Gowan that we are not in a position yet to fit smaller wheels as they are entirely in the experimental stage, but he seems extremely keen on them and says that he would be quite willing to have them put on his car and will let us know what he thinks about them - in fact use his car as an experiment. I did not encourage him.

I should be glad, however, if you would please let me know if there is any particular reason why they should not be fitted to his car from the point of view of safety, etc.

You will remember that this customer is very keen on the lightest possible steering.

C.
