-4- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wat.2/WA.{Mr Wallis}26.11.34. Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} (3) In order to keep the battery, in the worst conditions, at least 50% charged for starting in the morning a new regulator operating on its series characteristic at a higher current, is required. This is now being tested. (4) Improvement in the dynamo is required to maintain high charging current at high speeds. This is receiving our attention. (5) When a radio set is installed an air cooled dynamo or a larger/dynamo must be fitted. Where existing cars/output have radio sets installed they must be content with external charging when necessary. The option of fitting an air cooled dynamo and new regulator, when these have been developed satisfactorily, could be offered them at an extra charge in exchange for their existing machine and regulator.
