X1220 S/W Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} C5/C3.7.36 Re Oil Consumption on the 25/30 h.p. We have now delivered quite a number of these to the Public and, of course, the oil consumption to start with is very bad. To those people who complain we are telling the reason for this and that the oil consumption will rapidly improve with the running of the car. This, however, we do not like, and I understand that you are experimenting with a new type of piston ring. I shall be glad to know how this matter stands as, of course, we would like to get these on to production cars at the earliest possible moment. C. | ||
